Our Champions League event at Myer Park yesterday was the culmination of months of lead up work to get the tournament underway
Preparations for the event started in October last year with the event being postponed in April & moved to September, it was great to finally get it underway!
A massive thank you goes to everyone on our committee for their efforts in getting the tournament off the ground & ready for the 500+ people that were in attendance yesterday & also the warriors who worked tirelessly in the canteen and BBQ all day to provide a brilliant service to everyone
We were at the ground from 5:30 AM and forty matches later, the tournament is done – The tournament wouldn’t work without you guys!
Thank you to Diane Payne & Shane Parmenter for your 900+ photos which have been posted into an album for everyone to view – These are a great keepsake for the parents involved
This years edition was our closest tournament yet with a number of penalty shoot-outs to decide games which included our first ever penalty shoot-out in the final!!
Thank you to all of the teams who participated from Sydney, Central Coast, Newcastle, Tamworth & Port Macquarie – We are hopeful that the tournament was a success for you & we hope to see you in our 2018 tournament!
