2018 Coaching Positions

. General News

Preparations for season 2018 are starting to take place with a shift in focus to our ‘Skill Acquisition Phase’ which includes the Under 9 – Under 12 age groups to an academy style program.

We envisage holding trials in the above mentioned age groups in early October to identify talented players and get them into an environment where we are producing quality players to our seniors NPL Youth teams and potential Emerging Jets selections.

We are proposing to have one ‘academy’ team per above age group which will train a mandatory three nights a week & look to play games against opposition from outside our area (via trial games), therefore exposing our players to different styles of football and giving the players who were identified as exceptionally talented the chance to be able to progress their football to the next level – This will require exception commitment & dedication for this to work and for your child to excel in football.

Technical Director, Neil Orr will oversee the whole program and ensure that quality coaching is being provided to each team, giving our players their best chance to succeed.

If you are interested in coaching young footballers aged 9 - 16 with a view of potentially coaching NPL in the coming years, we encourage all coaches to get in contact with us via the below email address or via our website (www.magicyouthfc.com.au/contact-us/) to be supplied with an application form.

These are due back by Tuesday 1st August 2017

If there are any questions or concerns regarding this, please get in touch with the club.

Under 11/02 vs Cessnock City | Match Review

. General News

This was the boys most comprehensive win this year not just by the winning result of 6-1 but the way in which they carried themselves out on the field.

They kept their heads up, they looked over their shoulders, they ran the sideline and crossed the ball in, they passed back to their team mates and most importantly they were not selfish with the ball.

The back line was strong and only let the one goal in due to a player standing an in offside position.

Special mention goes to Brody Rousell in the back line, he was extra solid on the right side.

Ryan Johson score two, Kynan Borg scored two with a single by both Taj Curran and Caleb Martin.

Well done boys!!
