The season commenced with a wobble, up against a team who have been together in the SAP environment for over two years, our neighbours Adamstown. From this game, the boys never looked back scoring a total of 60 goals and only conceding 12 with one game to go.
The boys have displayed a playing maturity above their age, demonstrating passion, positional awareness, intensity and a never say die attitude. Their willingness to adhere to a possession based football style has been both a challenge and please to watch.
As Coaches of this team, we are both very proud and honoured with how the kids have conducted themselves and played. Truly a great effort by the team. Well done boys your parents and coaches are proud of you.

Unfortunately due to the closure of Myer Park, the West Ham clinic scheduled for Myer Park on Thursday 13th July has been moved to Broadmeadow Hockey Centre which is next to McDonald Jones Stadium from 10:30 am
Preparations for season 2018 are now starting to ramp up and we are taking applications for Head Coaches for our academy teams from aged Under 9 - Under 16 - This includes the Under 9 SAP which will be run as part of the NPL Licensing.
We envisage holding trials in the above mentioned age groups in early October to identify talented players and get them into an environment where we are producing quality players to our seniors NPL Youth teams and potential Emerging Jets selections from Under 12's.
We are proposing to have one ‘academy’ team per above age group which will train a mandatory three nights a week & look to play games against opposition from outside our area (via trial games and tournaments), therefore exposing our players to different styles of football and giving the players who were identified as exceptionally talented the chance to be able to progress their football to the next level – This will require exceptional commitment & dedication for this to work and for your child to excel in football.
Technical Director, Neil Orr will oversee the program and ensure that quality coaching is being provided to each team, giving our players their best chance to succeed.
If you are interested in coaching young footballers aged 9 - 16 with a view of potentially coaching NPL in the coming years, we encourage all coaches to get in contact with us via the below email address or via our website (www.magicyouthfc.com.au/contact-us/) to be supplied with an application form.
These are due back by Tuesday 1st August 2017
